We can’t say thanks enough to the University of San Diego for hosting our one-of-a-kind program!
We had a blast on this beautiful campus. At first glance, most people see that the University’s buildings are well-designed and the landscaping is well-manicured, but what you don’t see is how it’s becoming more sustainable every year.

You obviously can’t see that USD has already its energy consumption by more than 20% since 2010 and its water consumption by 38% since 2006. And, mostly hidden from view are the campus’s 5,000+ solar panels. Most impressive however, is what they do put at the forefront: it’s a fair-trade and bike friendly campus that features an Electronics Recycling Center that’s a first of it’s kind on a college campus.

All in all, we had a great event thanks to the staff at the USD Office of Sustainability and to some awesome volunteers. Even our newest member of the Troop, Ray the puppy, had a great day meeting students.
